I woke up thinking: “I have to wear red and turquoise.” It was imperative. So I dug up this old sweater from my working-a-regular-job days and paired it with the turquoise earrings I made at work using the Color Bar. I haven’t worn this top in a long time because I have a terrible time remixing the stuff I used to wear only to work. I feel like a bunch of my clothes just have this work-y aura to them, and I have a hard time shaking it off. Luckily, as the time I spent in a hospital or nursing home is going farther into the past, I am rediscovering some of the things I thought were too professional to wear for fun. Don’t hold your breath waiting to see some of the Ann Taylor pants I used to own.
How do you guys remix your work attire?
I look like I’m about to sneeze here, which is actually what I am doing most of the time these days.

Haha, well, I think the red sweater looks really pretty with the turquoise earrings…good inspiration. 😀
Oh, I love your hair color it's really beautiful and your earrings go very nicely 😀

The subtle details are what makes this so chic! Those Chanel shoes, the little gold buttons down your back, and the surprise pop of colour in your earrings
Adorable! I remix business-style clothing by layering, most of the time. I love to throw on vests, cardigans, scarves tied across as a sweaters…that sort of thing!

You look very Jean Seberg in this outfit – tres bien!
I love turquoise and red together. Not done enough! Your hair looks awesome
Great earrings you made! I love this outfit! Kind of Audrey Hepburn-ish with your pixie cut, pearl-button sweater, tapered pants, and flats. Love, love, love it!

This outfit is amazing for 3 reasons: 1) the turquoise earrings. Those are amazing, and they look great with your hair color (and your hair looks great, too!). And I love turquoise. 2) the pearl buttons down the back of your blouse. I love pearls, too. And that is such a delicate, cute detail. 3) Those shoes are awesome. I love black and beige together, and I'm digging the trend of the pointy flats now. Alexa Chung had a pair on once, and I thought they looked so cool.

Your hair is amazing, I wish I could get it, but my skin tone doesn't allow possibilities like that
I adore the earrings w/the hair-it's so sophisticated, and definitely good for work
Those earings are so pretty! And i really like the simple combination! The little buttons on the backside are so cute!
I own very few things that I won't wear to work, so it's not too much of an issue.
I do love red and turquoise – of my favorite pairings, and now I'm going to HAVE to do it soon!
Chic on the Cheap
