After months of planning, design, sourcing, and construction, the new uniforms for the Four Season’s TRIO restaurant are being worn by servers, S.A.s, food runners, and hosts! Chris and Amanda of Mr. & Mrs. Sew It All and I joined the staff for the ribbon cutting a few weeks ago and saw the updated restaurant’s new look as it was unveiled. We got to sample the new menu items and drinks and of course see all the staff in the new shirts, vests, pants, ties, and aprons created by us!
Chris and I spent a lot of time conceiving uniforms that would not only capture the mood of the updated room, but also the vibe of the Four Seasons and Austin itself. It was so great to work with a team that placed such importance on collaborating with local businesses to deliver something authentic to the city. The new uniforms are meant to be something the staff can feel comfortable and confident in while conveying the sophisticated, modern, but not-stuffy vibe of TRIO.
I love these uniforms because the fit is sleek and modern and they reward a closer look with their unique detailing. We created a look that can shift from casual to more dressy throughout the day in order to reflect the changing atmosphere of the restaurant as well as the varied style of patron. The uniforms offer several different ways of styling them–the shirts can be worn alone with the convertible apron up, tie off or loosened during the day and later worn with the vest and tie with the apron bistro style in the evening. We also sourced some lovely dresses for the hostesses for day & night and outfitted the male host in a bow-tie and vest that compliments the ladies outfits.
We can’t wait to start working on our next project together and look forward to helping more businesses improve & update their staff’s style!
