So last week it was miserably hot (I know, same old story) and I decided I wanted to wear as little as possible but still needed to look respectable. Somehow the innocent cream color of this short 60’s-shaped dress makes up for the lack of fabric. When I had this on, barely anything touched my skin, and since it’s got the high neckline, has a sexy playfulness to it, therefore this little number meets the requirements for a great date dress!
As I concluded in my post about what to wear on your second date, this dress follows the same line of thinking, but instead of showing skin up top, it’s all about the legs with this one. I love the irregular hem that adds visual interest to an otherwise flat palate. And of course, this outfit is all about the accessories. I wore this for day, so I added casual, bohemian-inspired accessories, but for evening I might add big colorful earrings and sparkly flats. Such a cute dress. I was looking at a tumblr of vintage mini-skirt photos the other day, and I must say you look like the modern version of Twiggy. I’m not sure what pre-wedding is, but it’s good that you’re able to wear the dress again in real life!
