Laurel Kinney is a God send!!

I have been out of college and teaching middle school for 7 years now. At the end of the summer I always start to look at the clothes I’m going to be wearing for the school year. When I opened my closet, there wasn’t a single item that I was looking forward to wearing. Everything I had was something I purchased at the beginning of my career and was so bland and blah. I was certainly in a style rut!!! I am hoping for a promotion to a higher position this year, and you know what they say, “Dress for the job you want, not the job you have.” I knew I had to get someone else to help me find some variety.

I am so grateful I found Laurel! She went through my closet and confirmed that I had all the basic neutrals covered, but also saw hope. Shopping was the greatest experience. She pulled items and clothes I never would have thought looked good on me (the whole belting/tights/pencil skirt thing was something I never had the courage to try on my own), and much to my surprise, I found a whole new way of thinking about my body and what looks good on me. I am tall (5’11) and it can be very hard to find clothes that fit me. She really took this into consideration and found the perfect stuff.

All of my new clothes were great, and the way she found ways to work with my old stuff was even more wonderful! Everything in my closet is useful now. I have great go to outfits that I feel comfortable and confident in. I have received so many complements from my colleagues and friends. Even a random guy in an elevator told me, “you’re looking pretty fresh” (I think that was a complement!)

Thank you Laurel for being such a great person and really helping people feel good about themselves. You brought out a new side of me and I now have a “style”! I can’t wait to go shopping with you again!
