Here is my typical expression during the madness that is SXSW here in Austin (for those unfamiliar with this event, it’s basically a week where tons of “industry” people come to town and party). I look like I’m squinting, maybe a little uncomfortable, maybe somewhat confused. Yes to all three. I can’t decide where to go, I can’t see the stage, I don’t know what I am listening to, and I just waited in line for it.
No but for reals, I am really not this much of a downer, you guys. I love the outfit I am wearing, for instance. My tie-dyed pants and the top I can’t stop wearing from Dog&Pony. I loved riding my bike downtown with no real plan, and I loved drinking beers with my friends. See how I turned that all around?
Now, on to Day 3….I plan to attend this new event at the Austin Convention Center called StyleX and I’m pretty stoked. It’s essentially a fashion showcase with 40 new designers. Joah is the stylish dude that’s organizing it, and he gave me the impression that we might be able to get the sponsors (American Apparel and Keds) to make custom t-shirts and sneakers for us. WHO WANTS A TROPHY TEE???
This is the basic scoop:
It’s free and open to the public
3-9pm on Friday
noon-9pm on Saturday
Austin Convention Center (4th and Trinity)
Panels at 3:45 both days and also 1:30 on Sat
Runway shows (all the models are SxSW musicians) at 6pm both days.

Never been to SXSW but hear it's fun/crazy.
hahaha I get that confused/uncomfortable squinty face at almost all music events. I haven't been but SXSW is definitely on my bucket list. I'm glad you're having fun! Well, you gotta have a good time you are the wearer of awesome tie-dye pants!

Man oh man, just thinking about trying to pull off tie-dyed leggings with half as much rockerish cool as you just did has me breaking out in a cold sweat! I am pretty sure I could pull off that DELICIOUS dangly fringey necklace, though. Rather well…
