So you’ve worn your sweater over a dress, with a sexy skirt, and now it’s time to get professional and style a sweater for work! Most Austinites can get away with some pretty flexible career dressing–a lot of my clients feel like they’re overdressed in anything but jeans, but here’s a great way to dress down your fancy pants: just add a cozy boyfriend sweater!

I love these cropped slacks as an alternative to the ever-present skinny jean, and it takes up the sweater a few notches while taking down the prim and proper pants a few too. Balance is the name of the game people! If you’re going out after work, you can add a sparkly necklace (like JCrew is always pairing with sweaters) and some heels! If you want, you can even layer a blouse under that sweater for maximum mix & match potential. Alright, now: no excuses to be bored of your sweaters yet!
