Yeah, okay, if you know me, you know I’m borderline obsessed with this hat and wear it any chance I get. I was waiting for the perfect opportunity to come along before I styled it on the blog, and guess what? That opportunity came today. While the sun was setting fast, and I needed to do a photoshoot OR ELSE. So here you have my happy new fall outfit, rife with fuzziness, stripes, and proud hat-posing. There’s something about this little hat that makes me grin huge and stand up taller. Have you got anything in your wardrobe that makes you do that? If not, let’s find it FAST!

The trick to styling a hat is:
1. Contrast: you don’t want to be swimming in all the same color (it would be too much). and 2. Balance. The hat shouldn’t be fighting with another piece of clothing or else it’s gonna look costume-y or a little too self-conscious. Keep the rest of the outfit simple and use the hat as the pop!
