Thanks for your comments on yesterday’s post. I know it’s been difficult for a lot of people lately, financially, and I am glad to know I am not alone, even though it’s a group I wish we weren’t in! Even though I am complaining about being broke, I still had the bad judgement to buy these shoes with my employee discount at Stella Says Go. Thanks to my twitter friends for that one! I think it is possible, however, that these shoes will eventually make me money, because no one wants to take style advice from someone with beat-up grandma shoes, which is what I would have worn if I hadn’t bought these. So does anyone know if I can write off clothing on my taxes?
Tonight I had the pleasure to attend the FedEx and Me event for the small businesses that were entered into the My Story: Austin program. Well Styled was nominated and I got to go with Michelle. It was really fun to be around a bunch of motivated small business owners and it was quite possibly the best networking event I have been to! Thanks, FedEX!

I still think those shoes were a good buy. And totally. You are a wardrobe consultant/stylist, yes? I think you could finagle that as a write off.
By the way, as always, you look fantastic!
clogzzzzzzzz and you look amazing! the stripes and shorts <3
money problems suck. Reminds me I need to make A PHONECALL
Yeah. I needa figure out if I can write off whiskey. And I need to find a place to live. Or at least a place to drink my whiskey.
Those shoes are fabulous! I hope they do make you some money. At first I was worried about what kind of money you were going to make with heels…but then I got it
those new shoes are killer…love that fun necklace!
I love your shorts. Love ’em. Also your shoes are hot and I think you need to definitely let me know if you can write shoes off, because i definitely think my shoes help my career daily.
Those shoes were worth it! They look cute AND comfy, which is such a hard combo to achieve.
+ I love the photo with your head pointed at the sky in mid-laughter. Yeah girl I think we’re all seriously feeling the money crunch, but in that pic especially it looks like you had a 5-year-old’s not a care in the world moment
