Once in a while a person needs to go out and get all fancy. Even if you live in Austin, and it’s never that fancy anywhere, it’s fun to take it to the nines (or ten) and go all shiny and fuscia-lipped. I found the shoes of my dreams at Last Call the other day, and it created a domino effect of dressing: I had to wear the shoes, so I had to find something that made them feel at home, and so I had to wear a shiny fun girly dress. I was maybe overdressed for Austin, but who cares? It was a gorgeous night with beautiful company, and what matters more than that, really?
