Here we have a very wild pairing of leopard and bird, two prints from the wild, coexisting harmoniously in one festive outfit! It is possible for print foes to become friends if a few aspects align:
- Leopard print tends to be a smaller, more concentrated print, so it therefore makes sense that a more widely-spaced print wont create too much tension for the eye.
- It helps that the feathers are more angular, and the leopard more round in nature.
- As always, since they are in similar color families, the grey of the cat looks extra nice with the black and dark purple of the bird.
So why not spice up your holiday outfits by mixing some unexpected print and color together? Just because I’m not wearing red, white, metallics, or all black doesn’t mean I’m not ready to party like it’s Christmas week, because I am.

This is one of my favorite outfits! OF ALL TIME.
This is such a great mix of patterns. The colors all work really well together and the feather print is just wonderful. Another wonderful outfit post as usual!

you could argue that the leopard already got the bird, hence the feathers are flying 😉
Or you could just say they are two prints that work well together!
love how you pattern mixed!! you are adorbs!!
I love it! I’d have never thought of pairing those two pieces together, but they really work. The colors are great too. And so are your adorable shoes.
