Since lots and lots is on sale right now, I did my part and performed some research by visiting some of my favorite shops this week. Despite falling in love with this sweater, I decided to throw down instead for something more neutral and more on sale. This cropped cable-knit sweater from Madewell is the perfect piece to add to any high-waisted dress and pant collection, because it’s slouchy and comfortable, but still shows off the natural waist.
Of course grey can be a tricky color, as it can wash a person out or look odd with certain skin tones, and I haven’t discovered a surefire way to match grey tones to skin/hair colors. It just takes some trial and error, but when found, grey is a great color to have on rotation because it goes with pretty much any other color you may have lurking in your wardrobe. I’ve already imagined about 800 different ways to wear this sweater in my head, so get ready for some cropped cable knit action this winter, folks!

I love the cozy gray sweater. I’d like to have one like it in my wardrobe. I wear my gray cardigan so much when the weather gets cool.
