I’d been daydreaming for some time about getting another tattoo. Usually when I get the idea in my head, I have to make it happen right away–I trust myself to make lifelong decisions very quickly (sometimes to my own detriment, but still). I’ve gotten three tattoos, but wanted to get one in Austin.
When I saw the work by Katja Ramirez at Perfection Tattoo, I knew she was the artist meant to create some botanical print-style Texas jasmine on my shoulder. Turned out she’d worked at the same shop I’d gotten my lilacs at, tattooed a good friend of mine there, AND has the same pair of Swedish Hasbeens ankle boots that I have. It was meant to be! My dear roomy Margot came with me and took these photos before, during, and after. Stay tuned for better after shots (once I stop oozing plasma). Sorry.

It looks wonderful!
It looks beautiful!
You’ve inspired me. I’m adding ink.
Love it! Can’t wait to see it in real life!
Very pretty! I love flower tattoos, so feminine and they age well.
WONDERFUL! I love it. I am asking for a shoulder tattoo for Christmas!
