This weekend, my lady friends and I drove out to Marfa, Texas to have a chilled out lady friends weekend. We had an amazing time exploring the landscape, eating great food, and hanging around with each other and our Marfa friends. Dressing for a lady vacation to a chilly desert is pretty much like dressing for an all-day music festival, I’ve discovered. Comfortable layers are key. I of course joked that I selected my outfits to match Marfa, and I kind of wasn’t joking. The brown grass, dirt, washed out architecture, and blue sky were my inspiration. The clothes, however, are no match for the landscape out there, which never ceases to inspire and fill me with lots of ideas for one billion paintings I may or may not paint….Check out the beauty of our first day in Marfa!

I can’t help but wonder, why is there a Prada store in the middle of the desert? x
Yes, I should have noted that the Prada store is an art installation!
Yeah, the Prada store definitely caught my attention. I’d love to do a full photo shoot around that. Awesome & Unique.
Looks like such a fun time! And you look great
Nice! I still haven’t been to Marfa. Can’t wait to see what else you girls did!
i keep reading Marfa as Mafia and you win so many hardcore points
that being said Marfa looks AMAZING, love the Prada shop….
I feel like a huge nerd because I do not understand the draw of Marfa! I have great aunts and uncles out there (or as I call them, my tios and tias) and I regard it as sort of an obligatory family trip, not a fun place to sightsee. *Sigh* I am tragically uncool……
that is a super crazy art installation. Marfa seems like a fun place to visit!
mmmm…Cochineal – my favorite party of Marfa
