I come up with most of my outfits when I’m washing my hair in the shower in the morning. I imagine the possibilities and think about my mood and the day I’m about to have. I have really been loving the colorful layered outfits that are possible in the winter, and my shower time was devoted to imagining how to replicate a Rag & Bone-type look. I wanted to play with proportion by wearing a long layer underneath the cropped sweater and then modernize the whole deal with ankle boots. I also needed a little heel since the longer layer kind of cut into my leg-line.
I really can’t say enough about color in winter. It’s so easy to get into a brown-navy-grey-black rut, and while I am ALL FOR neutrals, I think it’s a mood elevator to add a little coral, red, magenta, or purple.
