Sometimes, like yesterday, I’m in a rush to get out the door and don’t have time to update the blog or tweet or anything! Luckily, there are outfits like this for days like these. What is easier than jeans with boots, a colorful top, a cardigan, a scarf, and a blazer? Not much, I tell you. When you have a colorful top like this, it’s fun to add one more complementary color (the scarf) and then just add neutrals (everything else). You don’t have to over-think it and it still looks like you put in a little bit of thought. The greatest part is that you can add or subtract layers throughout the day and it’s like three cute outfits in one!

Love love LOVE that blazer, Laurel! This outfit is great, I would wear this every day if I could. But first I gotta get me a blazer!!
You always teach me something new, Laurel!
After watching the Spanakopita (is that spelled right?) video at Hilah Cooks, I had to see what you were doing! Cute, cute, I need lots of help in the clothes department. I just bought 3 new scarves over the holidays and I’m clueless how to wrap and tuck or tuck and wrap. Between you and Hilah, I’m gonna learn how to make a few new dishes and hopefully look cute doing it! Come visit my blog at http://grannymountain.blogspot.com
it’s a real place on the side of a mountain in Arkansas!

Funny, I brought my black velvet blazer out with me today as well. Sadly I didn’t need it, since it was freakin’ 70 degrees all day.
