So, these outfit photos were taken last week, before the cold front blew in, and I can’t even remember what it felt like to be warm enough to expose my flesh like this. But, I can’t waste a good black dress outfit, especially when it’s a dress that just got a new life recently at the tailor. The deft hands of Mrs. Sew It All took this dress down a few sizes & lifted the hem a little, and now instead of just languishing in the closet I can wear the heck out of this versatile little number!
This is the perfect Thanksgiving day dress actually, because it’s black (spill proof), stretchy & soft (over-eating proof), and it can be layered and accessorized in a myriad of ways! I like the tribal necklace and boots here, but I will definitely be adding tights, a scarf, and a giant coat this week.
Happy Thanksgiving, friends! Oh, and if you’re looking to avoid the rush on Friday and shop local AND online, get your loved one a TB gift card this year! Just email laurel@trophyboutique.com for the deets.
