No one wore menswear better than Diane Keaton did in the 70’s, but it’s Halloween and I can give it a whirl too! The easiest way to make yourself a little Annie Hall-ish style outfit is to wear a blazer with your wide-legged, high-waisted pants or jeans. Add a hat and a blouse with buttons and viola! You’re ready to be Woody Allen’s sidekick before he became obsessed with Scarlet Johansson and his stepdaughter (I’ve yet to recreate either of their looks).
To keep your menswear from looking like you’re in drag, keep the clothes well-tailored and proportionate. I like the shrunken blazer with the super-wide jeans, and I’ve got a little feminine flair to my blouse with the ruffle details.
Happy Halloween!
