Oops. I got this pretty vintage-y day dress in a color I have never worn before at Dog & Pony a little while back, not realizing it could pass as a game day dress in this football town of mine…Fast forward to a Saturday and viola! I was getting horns hooked at me all over the place. I am not much of a sports fan, and of course was a little bit embarrassed to be one of the many burnt-orange masses, but I still love this dress.
Here in Austin, game day outfits range from the classic Longhorns logo t-shirt or jersey to denim miniskirts, orange blouses, and cowboy boots. Ladies go ALL OUT for the games here, and I know for a fact that they love burnt orange jewelry with their outfits. If I were a UT fan, and ever went to a game, I would fit right in in this dress. It would be a look suited to the spirit of the event, but also expresses my personality. Throw a jean jacket on, and even some brown cowboy boots and I could be bleeding orange, right??

Great find from D&P. I love that place now.
I would not have a clue that you were wearing anything other than an adorable dress in a cute color, but I can’t pretend to understand sporting event culture… haha.
Gorgeous!
This would also be the perfect dress to wear to a yachting brunch of smoked salmon!
Hook them, horns!
The girls go all out for football games here too. It’s practically the only time they ever dress themselves in anything other than workout clothes. I, however, have to wear my band uniform so I don’t have to worry about picking an outfit!
In other news, I really love that dress you’re wearing. It’s almost exactly the same shape as a navy polka dotted one I have.
