…or maybe just low/low, actually. Today was one of those days when I realized, shit, I am wearing head to toe Old Navy. These days happen more frequently than I would like to admit, but since I started blogging I have made more of an effort to mix different brands of clothing, so I don’t seem like a walking ad or something. But doesn’t it count if I am an avid ON collector, and have acquired these items over the several years of my devotion? Eh, whatever. I would have worn another brown skirt if I happened to own one! It’s just “brown skirt” is never on my to-buy list, as brown skirts seem kind of ho-hum in general. Therefore this is my ho-hum brown skirt. I am much more excited to buy navy and red polka-dotted ruffle tops, that’s for sure.
Anyway, it’s back to the woodpile, even though these shots are a little blown out. I had to add the bottom one because it’s just too weird to leave out…it’s like I washed that one in the machine.
Ruffle top, tank, skirt: Old Navy (thankyouverymuch)
Cardigan: BDG, Urban Outfitters
Belt: custom from leather shop in the 90’s, Freeport, Maine
Boots: ???, NYC
Necklace: Forever 21
Earrings: Marc by Marc Jacobs
P.S. I’m heading to the SoLa event tomorrow night. It sounds like a fun party, with music, drinks, and fashion, and will be benefiting SafePlace, which has a hotline and shelter for domestic violence victims here in Austin. Hopefully I will see some of you there!

Such a great outfit– I never would've guessed it was mostly Old Navy. Which just goes to show that you can't judge an outfit by its label, I suppose. I think you've also proven here that the secret to taking an outfit from summer to fall is all in the cardi.
Thanks, Amy! I have to admit I only wore the cardigan for about thirteen minutes that day…it's been annoyingly hot! But the cardigan is essential for balancing out the heaviness of the corduroy skirt.
Okay you made me laugh out loud here b/c I totally have the "Oh shit" moments with 100% Target outfits ALL the time!
I had to comment on this post, because I was going to say how I do the EXACT same thing with Target, but Monkeyface beat me to it! I'm glad I'm not the only one….
Ditto here! The Target clearance rack is my happy place.
Personally I like the imperfect pictures, there is something beautiful in them
