Layering is one of my favorite pastimes, but I tend to use the same pieces again and again, making each outfit kind of the same (and me uninspired to photograph them). Luckily, I took a little trip to the new H&M here in Austin recently and picked up a few new layers to pile on and have fun with.

This blazer is nicely fitted, and I like the lack of a lapel here–makes for a sleek, not so bulky layer. I wore it with my go-with-everything hunter green jeans, the scarf I always wear, and a drapey grey tee (also from H&M). Not too thrilling, but I think adding a little color and pattern go a long way.
