I know all of you are absolutely DYING to know what I wore to the Fun Fun Fun Fest this past weekend, what in the heck to wear to outdoor music festivals when the temperature varies from 80 to 48 during the time you’re there, and what to wear when you have to account for bike riding as well as all-day standing and walking. Well, fret no longer because this is the post for you!
I had a blast with Margot, who, incidentally created the necklace I am wearing in these photos. I also got to see my blogging buddy Erin who came to town for the event and posted her outfits here. This first photo is of the base outfit for the day. A boxy tee with tight sleeves that don’t ride up when you have to add your sweater:

My only regret was not wearing a better kerchief for blocking the dust from my face because man oh man it was dusty! When night fell I added my trusty poncho, which came in handy at last year’s FFF Fest, and I knew would be the perfect comfortable layer:

Extremely important was my cross-body bag which made it easy to carry not only my layers but kept my hands free for stuff like beer-holding and high five-ing. Cool festival stuff like that. Plus, wearing only small stud earrings is always a good idea too, since you don’t want anything getting caught on your sweater or high five.
Here’s my final, buttoned up and cozy look of the day. It was totally worth carrying all that stuff around.

Poncho: vintage, Sweater: JCrew (via Savers), Jeans: Acne, Tee: BDG (via Buffalo Exchange), Boots: Madewell, Necklace: Margot Wolf

Such a cute festival look! I wasn’t able to go to FFF Fest, but I can’t help but wonder what I would’ve worn. I hope it would have been something as cool as this! That vintage poncho is the perfect topper. Where did you get it???
It was on sale at Feathers last year, can you believe it???
Your boots only make me want a pair even more than I did before!!
Oh they just look so nice all of a sudden because I got them resoled and gussied up at the Austin Shoe Hospital. Expensive, but worth it!
Great outfits, looks very comfy! I like comfy clothes ^^
That poncho is so so cute! I love all the layers in this outfit. They really are necessary with the crazy fluctuating temperatures this time of year.
I love the one with the yellow shirt very much! But I love the coat very much as well! Great job!
I just love your outfit….so SMART! and that mustard top is so cool
Great poncho!
Margot designed my engagement ring by the way! Love her!
my goodness, I love your cape Laurel! x
Great layering look! O love every piece there, but the last picture is just so cute!
I love how the layers never got bulky! Perfect
love these photos. such a great idea to take a pic of every layer…. i layer all the time in mass amounts (i get cold easily haha) and you can never see half my outfit in my outfit posts :-/
love the riding boots and skinny jeans… always an easy way to look chic
