I got a new bike a few weeks back, and for those of you who don’t follow me on Instagram, this bike is super badass. Since I want to ride it all the time, I have to craft outfits that not only allow for maximum pedaling potential, but also look cute. While I have been known to ride around with platform sandals on, it’s much easier to wear these little sneakers, and the icing on the sneaker cake is that they are laced with hand-painted leather Comb Collective laces!
So, what if we add a first date to the mix of outfit challenges? Why not wear a pair of comfy shorts? I’ve also been known to ride in a skirt, but I don’t recommend flashing on a first date (maybe on the second one). To balance out the shortness of the shorts I wore this golden blouse, which kept me cool on the ride but still felt a little festive. So there you have it, folks. An outfit to wear on a first date that you ride your bike to: comfortable, playful, a teeny bit sexy, and full of pep!

I hope you have a great time on your date — and OMG I have a first date tonight. I don’t think I’ll wear shorts (it’s still only in the 50°’s at night) BUT he has a motorcycle. Which is cool and maybe if there are subsequent dates some cutoffs will make an appearance…
