Do you have a fall-back look? A look that you know works for your body, you feel comfortable in, and employ whenever you’re not super inspired to try something new? For some women, it’s yoga pants, for others it’s jeans and a t-shirt. For me, it’s these yoga-pants-feeling jeans and a roomy printed blouse, the brighter the better. If you can find the right pair of jeans, they can be just as comfortable as your yoga pants, and a flowy blouse might actually be more comfortable than a clingy t-shirt during the summer. These wedges are also a lifesaver. I may have worn them three days in a row this week. They have just enough height, and the exact level of comfy bounce I need in order to stand and walk without whining. Plus they are blue suede. Enough said.
Thanks to all my new visitors and commenters this week! I’m so appreciative of each and every one of you. I also love it when you ask me style questions, so bring me your troubles and I will listen (and try to solve them too)! And, to take my happiness up a notch, why not follow me on Bloglovin’ or Google Friend Connect?

Loving those wedges! My go-to outfit are some skinny jeans, my comfy target flats and this ruffly blouse (I have it two colors!) that’s equals parts comfortable and flattering. <3
adorbs.
I I think my comfy look is black bike shorts by hanes, a cottony crop top and nude flat sandals….uhm, okay, that’s on a thin day I wear that.
On a lardo day? black black and more black.
What’s that there? Black.
great fall back option, someone with legs as great as yours should totally flaunt them every chance she/he (hey I’m not judging) gets.
You’ve basically described my work uniform, which makes me feel validated :). I love that top – looks like a great vintage score! Totes jealous of the vintage shops you guys seem to have in Austin. But it’s hard to figure out from here – is it a sweater? A light knit? I MUST KNOW!!!

You should feel validated! You always look cute. It’s a really light polyester, I think. Definitely not a sweater, nor cotton. It’s got funny pleaty-puckery texture on the front. It’s a weird one, this shirt.
Well I have to admit after your tweet I was looking forward to a sweatsuit post but this is actually way awesomer. THOSE SHOES! Dang, girl. Yeah I’m a total blousy top/stretchy jeans kind of girl, too, although after 5PM I pretty much really do live in sweats. But, the cute kind…???
hmmmm…. that’s a great question! i’d probably have to go with a sundress, sandals and pearl earrings this time of year. it’s hard not to feel pretty in a dress, in my opinion.
and okay fine! yoga pants and a stripe-y tank top always works at home, but i would never bring myself to be a yoga pant in public sort of lady!
