It’s that time of year again…You know, when you want it to be fall so you can wear layers, but it’s still 100 degrees outside so it’s impossible to wear anything with sleeves. So therefore, I like to think of this time of year as “boots with dress season.” You can give a little nod to fall by wearing ankle boots with your summer dresses without melting, and as the temperature drops, raise the height of your boots. I also like to add darker colors with my summer blues and whites to anchor my outfit and make it more Septemberlike. Black boots do the trick!

I have an obsession with blue and white – they have totally been my summer colors and I am adoring this dress!
Right now I’m not really having the problem of it being excessively hot, but I prefer to wear sandals as long as possible, like into November if I can… and I’m in Connecticut.
