It was difficult to style this dress for daytime, and I wanted to wear it before it got too hot for crushed maroon velvet, so I decided to Tex it up with cowboy boots and a jean jacket. I also tugged on these tights from the Gap that have little dots on them, but in the pictures they look a little bit like I might have chicken pox. The tights are the wrong size, I think, and kept riding down all day in the crotch. It’s not that easy to pull up sheer tights without ripping them! Despite what some have thought, the leaves on my leg are not awesome tights. They are part of an even awesomer tattoo of lilacs. It hurt a lot.
I’m switching my blog to link only to my Trophy Boutique fanpage on Facebook today, so if you read my blog from my personal profile, make the switch because you wont see me in your feeds if you don’t like the TB page! I’m going to start posting more outtakes from my photos there, and other little tidbits, so stay tuned….

Adorable!
Wow, you did a great job of dressing down crushed velvet! I didn't even think that was possible, but you did it really awesome. 😮

LOOOOVE red velvet! This dress is so '90s, and I love how you styled it with denim and cowboy boots. I always think of styling it as like a dark grungy look, so I looove this because it's more of a Chuck Norris-y westerny '90s look, like, you know what i mean? It looks great this way! x
I agree, a velvet dress can be tough for day time, but it works and it's cute!
I hate ill fitting tights. they are the worst.

WOW this dress is perfect!! I actually been wanting crush velvet dress for so long and been eyeing etsy or thrift store to get me one, I know people said that velvet is so hard to wear in day time, but you can never go wrong with them, use combat boots, or cowboy boots like you did and voila!! look at your outfit..fantastic
