Wacky in 2010

I’m so giddy that this crap year is almost over that I’m striking poses all over the place.  These jeans make me feel so tall! I have searched high and low for some high-waisted ones that have a skinny (and ideally cropped) leg, but to no avail. I’m hoping someone will save 2010 and give me a tip on where to find some!
I really can’t decide what to wear tomorrow night so I might just wear my stripey ModCloth dress again. That dress was MADE for New Year’s Eve. I actually am not really that big a fan of the holiday–the only reason I like it is because I get to wear something glittery and/or shiny. The desperate need to find the best party and be around the most people I know makes me feel gross. The best NYEs are the ones that are planned way in advance with a few awesome buddies so there’s no last-minute scramble and you can just say “I’m going to such and such with so and so.” Sadly this year so and so lives in New York and such and such is too expensive…sigh.

Today it was beautiful and warm and I spent the morning raking the yard (six 30-gallon bags of leaves, thankyouverymuch!) and we also potted all the overgrowing succulents for the winter. Here are the fruits of our labor:

So I'm terribly envious of this sweater because it has BOWS on it. Alas, I do not have one of my own…and I will keep a lookout for some jeans like that!

I finally found a high waisted skinny leg jean but it's black. They are Joes brand in case you are interested. But if you find a regular jean pair let me know!

I'm not a big fan of NYE plans, it gets too complicated. This year I'm spending it at home, nice and comfy in my pajamas, with a little bubbly and the boy. Whatever you end up doing, have a blast!!

You look like a tall drink of water in those jeans! And I adore that last photo of you — adorable!! :)

I don't know how we missed one another at the bleet-up, either! Hope you have a wonderful new year, maybe it'll be the year we run into eachother!
And I love the look of your jeans. I am digging the deep front pockets.
