Well, look at me grinning like a total dork this morning. Okay, well, today I got trapped in my car because it started pouring rain and I didn’t want to ruin my shoes. I got sick of waiting so I went outside wearing those pedicure slip-ons they give you, but one broke, so I slid around the grocery store with one bare foot, looking like a drowned rat.
I was wearing:
Dress: Gaultier for Target
Belt: Urban Outfitters
Sandals: Worishofer (from Stella Says Go)
This afternoon I started to try to figure out my fixed and start-up expenses for Trophy Boutique. Let me just say that I haven’t taken a math class since I was in 11th grade, and trying to figure out “potential” or “variable” costs is no picnic. I am way better at the writing up of market research than I am of the projected profits and losses. I seriously have no idea how to calculate anything!!! I have a list here of what I think my start-up costs will be, but I don’t know how much inventory to buy based on my estimated space, and Paul even had to remind me how to calculate averages, but then I got stuck because I don’t know how much to average anything across, because I don’t know how many items I need! So, I texted my friend Amy of Stella Says Go, and she’s coming over to save me tomorrow night and help me with my budgeting. I don’t think she realizes how much help she will be giving me yet….
Okay, well, back to typing up my plan…and researching POS systems. Wow, I didn’t realize just how many different types there are. Why is it that you can get price quotes for every PC bundle, but not for the Mac bundles? I’m much more comfortable with Macs, but I’m afraid their secretiveness indicates a cost above what I can afford…we’ll see…
