So, I happen to not believe in any rules regarding what you are or are not allowed to wear according to your age. I mean, if you look amazing in a rainbow bikini you look amazing in a rainbow bikini. I have this miniskirt here from almost 10 years ago, when I was probably the ripe old age of 24, and I have no good reason not to wear it age 32! I do however, feel more comfortable wearing it in a more demure and balanced way than I may have back then. Wearing your miniskirt when you’re a grown adult person is still fun, and it’s super easy to just:

  • Wear opaque tights! I am really not into showing my see-through veiny legs, especially before I’ve poisoned them with my summertime self-tanning cream. Opaque tights make me feel less like  I need to tug my skirt down every 2-5 minutes.
  • Try a long but fitted tunic top. I like the way the modest top balances out the short skirt. It’s like the skirt is a little surprise!
  • Wear chunky shoes. How different would this miniskirt look if I were wearing fancy dainty little heels? I think the badass shoes help make the skirt more playful and less miniskirt-ish.

Grown adult ladies: go forth and show those legs if you want to! You don’t have to follow my rules, but just know that I fully support your leggy-ness.

Hot damn, you’ve got legs for day! This is one of my favorite outfits you’ve styled (and I’m totally going to copy it!) You nailed the proportions, the pattern mixing is spot on, and those chunky ankle boots are perfect way to tie everything together.
