Something Old/Something Weird

Do you guys have items of clothing that you just can’t part with? Something that you loved for years, and kept despite not wearing for maybe say, 12 years, and lugged along with you when you moved to three different states, not even wearing once because they were laughably out of style? My never-gave-up-on-despite-not-wearing-for-12-years item are these John Fluevog boots. When was the last time poor John had any relevance? Maybe 1996 was his big year in the sun. I was sure in love with these multi-colored ankle boots when I was in high school. I found them in this little boutique in Portland, Maine and pined after them for months until I saved up the money to get them. I remember I drove the hour and a half to downtown Portland one weekend just for these, and wore them every single day for probably three years. The sides are coming apart and the insides are held together with duct tape, and I just never could part with them. Today I found them in my storage bag of shoes and have decided to give them another go. It was like foot deja vu. They still are perfectly molded to my feet, and wearing them with tights feels right again, in this crazy grunge resurgence we’re having lately (that makes me feel kind of old). Whatever! Now I have something that has cycled back into being cool again and I sort of love it. A lot.

(My necklace’s charm flew off the chain from my enthusiastic jumping below!)

That action shot is my favorite ever! You need to keep up w/ this theme. On the link on FB you just see the upper half of your body and you can tell you're in motion and at first glance I thought you were on roller skates and was like "Hell Yeah!" You're not only roller skates, but the heel clicking shot makes up for it. But, yeah, FFR: roller skates, trampolines, a bike, a teeter-totter–all solid crowd pleasers.

    You're welcome.

    Thanks, friends!!
I am all about action shots, but not roller skates, unless the action is falling, in which case I would excel. Thanks for noticing my extra efforts at heel-clicking! The outtakes for this shoot were plentiful (and plenty amusing) someday I will do an outtake post…
