Second Date Dress for Winter

2nd date dress for winter

Your first date outfit really knocked it out the park, right? It’s a lot of pressure to come up with something as amazing as the perfectly printed blouse/booty jeans combo. BUT, if you’re dating a stranger, every piece of your clothing is new to him or her, so don’t stress too much (unless you’ve systematically documented your every outfit on the internet for two years).

How shall you begin to decide on your second date outfit? Well, my suggestion is to go for a little leg (and maybe some clavicle) this time. You did the cleavage thing on the first date, so why not show him or her how awesome you look in a dress? If you choose a simple one you know you look good in (see summer date dress tips here and here), all you have to do is add a little personality with the tights and shoes. You can even wear some more girl-friendly ankle boots instead of sexy heels since since you’re wearing a short skirt and already got the sexy part covered (is that a pun)? Your date might not notice your booties, but the hostess at the restaurant will, which will expose how cool you are, and you’ll get the confidence bost you need to relax a little bit and engage in unfettered dinnertime gabbing. Try it!

Have you divulged that you have taken a photo of everything you’ve worn in the last two years on the first date?
    …I probably would have….

Love the boots! I’m an admirer of Jeffery Campbell’s shoes, but most styles would probably cause me to sprain an ankle! Your booties actually look pretty manageable (and cute), though. Cute tights, too!

  3. I need a navy blue dress!! Love those tights :)

This dress looks so so pretty on you! I love the shape of it. The booties were a great addition too.
