This weekend our friends Karl+Rendi got married, and I took the opportunity to play a little dress up. I wore this black slip number to get my toes done, sans the jewelry, but I felt a little bit Greek Grey Gardens in this get-up, with the turban and pearls.
Dress: vintage, from Feathers

Bracelet: headband from H&M
Shoes: Costume National
Here’s what I finally settled on for the wedding:
This is a dress that I wore for my best friend Libby’s wedding when I was a bridesmaid a few years back. I was excited to finally get the chance to wear it again, and I got lots of compliments.
Dress: French Connection
Sunglasses: Marc Jacobs
Necklaces: Kendra Scott, no label from Blue Elephant
Shoes: Capezio, from Last Call
Clutch: handmade from Etsy
I am busy getting ready for my SCORE appointment tomorrow. SCORE is an organization here in Austin that offers free counseling for small businesses and start-ups. There are accountants and lawyers as well as volunteer business owners who help with any questions. I want to have a good chunk of my business plan completed so that I have something to show the volunteers and also compile a list of questions for them. The main thing that’s getting in the way for me this afternoon is the fact that I am a little sleepy from last night’s festivities, and I am craving a cheeseburger something FIERCE.
