Romantic Peplum Blouse: Two Ways

peplam blouse two ways

I haven’t done a “two ways” post in a awhile, but since I did a little gift card cash-in last week I picked up a few new pieces. What’s the best thing to do when you bring home something new? No, the answer is not “put it in your closet and forget about it until the very last minute and then be unable to figure out how to wear it.” Try it out a bunch of different ways, duh! The post-shopping styling session is part of all of my services, and it’s really where the magical moments occur. We take each new item and see just how much potential it has when it meets up with the rest of the wardrobe. Sometimes we weed things out that don’t work as well, but a lot of the time it inspires tons of new and exciting outfits.

So I decided to style my new silk peplum blouse a couple of different ways. I loved the blue with the yellow skirt, and I paired it with plum just for kicks. I thought this was a vey energetic ladylike outfit for daytime. Then all I had to do was switch the skirt for some high-waisted jeans and change from a short to long necklace and I’m ready for happy hour or something! See, it’s not that hard.

I love both outfits! That peplum top is adorable. I especially like the colors you mixed together in the first outfit, though. Very pretty.
