Repeating Outfits

Stripes and Cowboy Boots

So, when you document your outfits every day, you start to feel a bit of pressure to come up with something different to share each time you dress. But here’s the truth: I wore this outfit two days in a row. Well, maybe more like a day and a half. Sometimes, I just find something that hits on a certain mood, and I just want that mood to continue.

I used to love the idea of having a “uniform” and just repeating it all the time, and I tried to challenge myself to wear the same jeans in college every day until I finished my thesis. This got a little ugly (and itchy), and I soon was back to exercising my creative dressing brain once again. Now I like to buy things that I can wear in numerous different ways, and challenge myself by trying to wear it slightly differently each time. I think I have found the balance between hygiene and frugality!

Penny had an adorable playmate named Tito over to our place for the weekend, and we had a fun time watching them chase and play with each other. Here’s a shot of me trying to touch them both at once (no easy feat!)

  1. Definitely a good go-to outfit. I may or may not have worn my new Red Sox t-shirt at some point each day during the last 3 days. :oX

don’t feel pressure, we all do outfitrepeats. I prefer a person who can style certain signature items in a dozen different ways, knowing their faves, to someone who just buys buys buys.

I tend to get really versatile pieces.

I do this more often than not on the weekends. Recycling outfits that is. When something works, why fix it I say – especially when I am seeing a different group pf people! I am, I like to claim, inherently lazy, but you know what I am? Economical! And that includes my personal styling lol

p.s just discovered Madewell. Huge fan of the affordable basics they stock :)

I used to repeat outfits all the time before the blog, and now there is always the pressure to at least mix things up a little. Especially since it’s my goal for this year to have a photo of a different outfit for every day, even if i’m not blogging about it.

You hair and makeup are looking really gorgeous today, and i’m glad penny had a fun time with her playmate!

Great boots! And I’m really into the stripes too!
Versatility is a must for me! I’m currently doing some “back of house” work and I’m getting tried of wearing jeans everyday.

  8. You look so cute with stripes and the cowboy boots, I cant believe you can fit on your jeans from college, I’m sooo jealous, I prob buy at least 1 or 2 pants everyyear because I ‘m my weight always fluctuating, I really hate that, I worked out almost 3-4 times a week but still cant hit the spot where I just have a regular weight/average weight…
anyway enough of me bitching, I prob have 10 closet full of clothes if I didnt throw or donate my clothes (since I have some big and small clothes LOL )
