Loafing Around

Loafers with High-Waisted Jeans

As you may know already if you follow me on twitter or facebook (and please do!), I found some goodies at Goodwill the other day. These woven loafers were hard to pass up for their rich color and comfort (and the price of $6.99). I haven’t owned a pair of loafers since the 7th grade, and those had pennies in them. These are fun to wear with cuffed jeans and paired with a more feminine blouse to offset the preppy.

Sorry for missing a post over here! I had a long day yesterday, the highlight of which was doing a Style Intro with a friend and new client. The Style Intro is fun because I get to take a look in a lady’s closet and make new outfits out of the stuff she already has. This is one of my favorite things to do with my own closet, and I think a lot of people benefit from an objective eye. This lovely lady had a bunch of already super flattering clothes, and I just helped her mix some of her pieces and create different ways to wear her fancier dresses during the day. This service is super affordable and fun if any Austin ladies want to try it out!

  1. cute! makes me want a pair of loafers, which i don’t think i have EVER had. i’m pretty wary of the preppy, but your tips on keeping it from getting too preppy are solid!

you know, i think the last pair of loafers i had also had pennies in them! i’m generally a huge ballet flat fan, but those might be fun to add to my shoe rotation!

your job is so fun, that would be so awesome to find new ways to wear things!

Those loafers are such a score! Love them they are kind of menswear looking but the top made them look so gender neutral! Thanks for stopping by my blog, I’ll stop by yours for sure!

Those woven loafers look great on you! I like the way you rolled up the skinny jeans to properly show them off.

  9. I’ve had my eye on purchasing loafers from Office and I now I think it’s time to go get them after seeing this post. Thanks for that. You look great by the way.

Those loafers are great! What a lucky find.
I found a black cotton American Apparel tee in my size at the thrift store yesterday for $4! And a way-cool floral dress for $10. Now to get blogging about it…
    Yay for good thrifting days!

Gosh darnit! I wish I lived in Austin. I would be all over that service. That is my biggest problem is remixing. I really don’t have a lot of clothes so I have to remix, A LOT, but I am terrible at remixing. How about I fly you out here, you sleep on my couch, and have at my closet? Free trip to California!

You look lovely, as always. Love how relaxed but spring-like this outfit is. And those loafers are tres awesome.
