There comes a time, or even one single day, when you have to just go for it. I mean, life is full of surprising challenges and unexpected pressures, and getting dressed shouldn’t be one of those hardships. What you’re wearing sometimes needs to slide on down to the lowest rung of priority. While this is one of those times for me, it doesn’t mean I am going to wear my green Reed sweatshirt every day, though I very much want to (it’s in the wash). It means I’m going to just go for it and not think too hard about what I’m putting on! Sometimes the lowered pressure inspires the most thrilling of outfits. Of course, when I am wearing something thrilling, all those other things seem less insurmountable. See, I just turned it all around.
This is one of the many reasons I love my job: I get the chance to help people create a cadre of outfits to throw on when life gets tricky; outfits they look amazing in even when life is a bummer. I try to show my clients tricks to use so they know the basics of what’s going to look best on them, so that they can just go for it and come up with something incredible when they need incredible the most.
My incredible is a hot pink sweater and tie dyed pants, I suppose.
