Well, the best thing that happened to me this week was finding these shorts again. That’s not saying much about the week, is it? Well, one of my patients died while I was in the room today, which surprisingly doesn’t happen THAT often in my job. I usually arrive a little while afterward, or just the nurse attends a death. It’s a very surreal and special experience; the energy just seems to shift and before you know what’s happening, it happened. That’s what it was like today. It’s weird to have a job where when I come home and say “I saw someone die this morning.”
I’m getting a lot of good support and advice via facebook, and I’m glad my friends seem to like my blog! I had a little inspiration this morning when I thought that perhaps I could start up an already-existing store location here in Austin…I sort of got the idea when we were browsing the Provincetown Marc Jacobs store, such a weird place for a Marc Jacobs store, but they had curated it really well to fit the market there. I think I could do something like that if it were the right shop, and I had some creative control. I’m really kind of enjoying the challenge of figuring out how to do what I want, but I’m not sure how long I’ll be able to keep it up! I’m looking forward to working on the Trophy Boutique business card/logo this weekend, and not seeing anyone die, hopefully.
