First Date Outfit for Winter

first date in winter outfit

I haven’t done a date post in a while, but since Cathy has requested it of me, I am here to deliver. I do whatever Cathy says because otherwise she threatens to steal my cardigans. ANYWAY, I think it was worth the wait, right? Wintertime dates are tricky because sometimes they require covering yourself with unsexy things like layers. But I think it’s still possible to show you are one hot mama while wearing pants, as long as you pair them with personality-infused pieces. It doesn’t matter if you have no idea where you’re going as long as you wear something that you feel sexy and confident in, and feels a little bit special. Here are some tips for you:

  • Pants: They should be sexy, but not too tight. I picked black ones because they seemed dressier, but still comfortable. As long as your date pants flatter the booty, they should be just right. They are really just a canvas for the rest of your outfit anyway.
  • Top: This is where you can really showcase your personality. I fell in love with the color and silly print of this top from Moss, which is just the right combo of sexy and fun. Wearing a blouse with lips all over it is a little risky, so I don’t recommend it for a blind date (it might make someone you don’t end up wanting to kiss think it’s okay to kiss you)! Just choose one that feels like YOU, but a little sexier than the usual you.
  • Accessories: Pick ones that feel special. I’m not a jeans and heels kind of girl, but sometimes you gotta commit to the sexy, throw some gel inserts in there and go for it. If wearing heels makes you feel sexy and confident, then do it, gurl. I added some sheer socks with mine to lengthen my leg and warm my ankles. Jewelry should be simple, but also a little special. Check out my new Margot Wolf ring!

Finally, top it off with a little smoky eye makeup and some nude lips. You don’t want to worry about reapplying all night and if you do end up wanting to kiss him, he probably wont look that good in your lipstick. As for jackets–do simple, like a little cropped leather jacket or blazer. Now go ask someone out already!
