Client Before & After: Jenna’s Career Wardrobe

Jenna Before

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of working with Jenna who needed a wardrobe update for her new job in real estate. She used my Career Sort, Shop, and Style service and our first order of business was inspecting the contents of her closet to see what was salvageable. We went through everything she had, separating out the stuff that just didn’t work anymore (because it was too college-y, torn, or pilled). When you’re buying a house, you want the person selling it to you to appear confident and put together, like she can handle those big decisions with you, and her wardrobe needed to better reflect just that! Pilled, torn shirts don’t inspire confidence, I always say…

Armed with a $300 budget, I shopped for Jenna at Nordstrom Rack and Old Navy, where I found lots of separates and dresses to help her spiff it up all year long. I got her richly-colored, waist-flattering dresses that can be layered over with cardigans and blazers and worn through the seasons. I also helped her create a ton of new outfits with the pieces we acquired together, showed her how to wear belts and cardigans, and mixed her old pieces in with her new ones. Now Jenna is armed with a plethora of career outfit options, and she’s ready to sell!

Yay! Thanks for letting me share you adorable outfits, Jenna! Now, if any of you need to buy a place to live, you know who to call…

Here are a few of her new outfits:
