I’ve been in a wardrobe funk these past few weeks, but with the addition of a camera remote (sorry if my holding it is obvious, I welcome remote-holding tips) I’ve been more inspired to take outfit photos, and therefore dress up a little bit. I love this chevron skirt but I never seem to wear it much. Not entirely sure why, since it fits like a glove and the colors are neutral. It guess it’s because it’s kind of dressy and ladylike, and I rarely find myself needing to appear super ladylike. Is that bad?
Well, I discovered that pairing ankle boots and a slouchy linen tee with the skirt makes for a less office-y, more casual daytime look, which I found to be the perfect outfit to shop in. People take you serious if you’re wearing a sharper outfit, and to me there is nothing more serious than shopping.
In other news, please know that I do offer styling for non-Austinites. I will travel to you, or I can meet you via sykpe for an hourlong session in your closet for only $50. Fill out the New Client form and we’ll get started!
